I think they should consider Remix minutes, provided that they like the continuity with their G League affiliate. If that seems like a diss, Warriors did this with Poole, Post, and maybe Podziemski. Some of these young guys need high level game time. It's going to be hard to find NBA minutes for Yang this season if the Blazers want to be competitive because he's very raw.

This always blows my mind. Yeah it's the NBA, I get that. But i can't fathom that especially as a young athlete, how could you get SO tired in your first entries into an NBA game? Because you spend a greater part of your life working out, conditioning, etc... like what are these guys doing in practice? How does Yang and even Clingan get so tired so fast? Battling in the paint? Throwing around big dudes? Because again, this is what the off season is for. I guess new big men just immediately get hit with a "-20 fatigue" penalty the second that they touch the floor? The NBA is elite, that's for sure. But I dunno, if I were to do anything above other things, it'd be getting myself game ready enough to where I don't get gassed after 5 minutes after finally getting my shot. EDIT - thanks for the replies. I'm not dogging in him. He has already been doing some great stuff on the court. Hopefully the kid keeps progressing in an upwards trajectory!

He's a guy that was brought in because of potential honestly. I liked his game in Summer league, but his issues were pretty obvious. His defense is not good, and looks a little lost a good bit of the time on that end. I liked his offense, but knew it would change coming into regular season until he is more in the flow of everything. Super easy mismatch for lots of teams, especially the one's we've played against. In my eyes, just give him time to adjust to full pace NBA basketball and learn the language. Those are not small things to overcome, I expect he will look much better by the end of season with tons of room to improve still. He was never meant to be a guy who comes in and is great right away, which is totally fine. Just dont put all time best expectations on someone who's 4 games into his first season at this level and is just starting to learn the language. Otherwise you're gonna be super disappointed

There's also a big difference in terms of how he was used in summer league. While not the complete focal point of the offense, he had the ball in his hands as a facilitator and pick/pop/roll option. He's just not getting the ball in his hands now, and I'm not even sure I can think of any time he was used that way in the regular season. So there is definitely a fish out of water thing going on there. On defense, I think he needs fitness and minutes. But offense, he's going to have a lot to learn if Splitter isn't going to let him cook a bit

He is good at setting screens but that does not show up on the stats sheet..defense needs work, and may never be there but too early to judge. Offense needs a breakout game. I hope he can get some reps in the G league to get some confidence back.

Feels like everyone got their hopes up that he'd be a revelation right away because the name Jokic was thrown around. It will take a few years until I feel like we can judge him truly. I don't think its fair to say that he looks bad because hes not trying hard enough or anything of that sort, he has a lot of things to overcome like the language barrier, cultural shift, and conditioning before he can even start working on the nitty gritty of his game.

I think something to consider is we are playing at a mad pace. Any rookie may struggle trying to keep up with how fast we’re trying to play. You can see the vets are really finding their footing tho in the decision making. We’re not in rebuild any more. I love yang. It’s just gonna take some time!

It's just a handful of games, doesn't mean anything. But when everyone is shocked you selected a player well above their draft projection, there's usually a reason for that. It's pretty rare to outsmart the conventional wisdom, and when it happens it's usually just dumb luck. I like Hansen but it was a silly pick.

Honestly I don't expect much for the first 1-2 seasons. If he is still only getting a few mins and minimal stats into next season I might start to get concerned. I'd be more worried about Sharpe shooting under 17% from 3 at this point.

Yang needs to be given full game time in g league. You can't develop a player while he sits on the freaking bench. Even cooper flagg the No.1 pick is not tearing the city apart in Dallas, he is learning on the job while he was the best player in college last year. NBA pace is different, he needs hands on game experience

I’m pretty encouraged. His stats are not good obviously but he gets gassed after 5 minutes, and clearly hasn’t even come close to adjusting to the speed of the NBA. But you can tell he has a high BBIQ. He sets monsters screens down in the paint that has led to some easy buckets for his teammates. Don't think he's going to contribute much at all this year. I’d love to see him get some time with the remix
